Great post. Your tips have a synch with what I was looking for. Will keep checking this forum for more and more educative posts. It is not like some forums where you have to sift through a ton of crap to get a condiment of information. Keep it up guys.

Our company doesn’t use plasma cutter. Probably in less than 1or 2 years our line of production will have shifted. Thanks, I now know which tool we may be going to invest in first.

An illustration would have been best. No offense intended though. I still don’t get other terms like torch ends. :?: :?: :?:

Dust and other small particles are common for most operations. It is a total waste choosing the wrong machine just to realize the horrible mistakes of getting everything messy later. I would advice that you learn about the nasty side of the CNC gadget you are purchasing before you commit yourself. That is my $0.02 about the subject.

I agree with OP on this. Some vendors are quacks asking the questions about the machines they are selling is just a waste of time. Getting a good guide proves more efficient in the long run. My dad used to say that it is better to look for something original (even if it is expensive) that will give you a long service; as opposed to something cheap that you will end up making a loss with. Always remember that cheap is expensive my friend. Sorry for the wall of text. 8-)

I just moved into the Bronx, NY, and I am looking for a good driller. Any ideas? Where can I find good plasma cutter machines, coz they usually go together?

Motors. This is the heart of every machine. May be you forgot that (no offense) am always keen on these section. Go for a Servo motor since it can move to infinite positions.
