Privacy and Terms of Use

The AmateurCNC forum (the “Forum”) is an independent international organization committed to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas. It is committedly neutral and impartial with no political, partisan or national interests and, with the explicit intention of creating a platform for open dialogue between all stakeholders. The Forum owns, operates and makes available the websites and as well as subdomain websites (individually “Website” and collectively “Websites”) and makes them available to the users of its Websites (individually “Visitor” and collectively “Visitors”) under the following Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Agreement to the Terms of Use

The Websites may contain features including blog, report and newsletter services, event, issue and community pages, member areas and other applications that may be available from time to time. Any person that accesses or uses the Websites agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions of these Terms of Use. These Terms of Use contain conditions, disclaimers and other provisions, some of which limit the Forum’s liability. Any person that does not agree or comply with these Terms of Use should not access or use the Websites.

Appropriate Use

Any use of the Websites by Visitors that would limit or constrict the availability or quality of the Websites’ features is prohibited and the Forum reserves the sole right to take any actions required to enforce this principle.

Visitors shall not use the Websites to post, submit or otherwise distribute unlawful, defamatory, abusive, obscene or offensive materials. Furthermore, Visitors shall not use the Websites in any way that may violate third party rights including, but not limited to copyrights or privacy. Neither shall Visitors access or attempt to access the Websites using interfaces aside from the ones provided by the Websites.

Visitors may provide personal information as part of the registration to access and use some of the features on the Websites as members, partners, bloggers, subscribers, participants, donators or similar. Information provided for registration must be accurate, correct and up-to-date. The Forum reserves the sole right to verify and deny access where data is incomplete, incorrect, inappropriate and/or missing.



The Forum does not take responsibility for the correctness, completeness, up-to-datedness or quality of the information provided on the Websites. The Forum expressly disclaims any and all liability to any person in respect of anything done or omitted to be done wholly or partially in reliance upon the contents of the Websites.

Furthermore, the Forum is not liable for any damage or corruption caused by viruses (or similar mechanisms such as worms, lock outs, metering, or self-destruct mechanisms) on computers or other terminal equipment in connection with visiting, using and/or downloading data of any kind from the Websites. The Visitors are personally responsible for protecting their equipment appropriately from viruses and other risks on the Internet.

The Forum reserves the right, at its sole discretion, but disclaims the obligation, to monitor and/or remove content from any blog.

The Forum’s name and logo are registered trademarks of the Forum. Visitors are not authorized to use the Forum’s logo.


The content of any articles published on the Websites (“Articles”) is representing the opinion of the author of the respective Article. The content of any Articles published by other authors than the Forum on does not necessarily represent the Forum’s endorsement of the views or content of such Articles.

The Visitor may make use of the content of the Articles under the terms of Creative Commons Public License (“CCPL”); please see the terms of the CCPL at The Forum reserves the right to revoke the CCPL at its sole discretion. Under the license, the Visitor may copy, distribute and transmit the Websites’ works, in whole or in part, in its original form or in an adapted form, provided the work is properly attributed to the author, it is for non-commercial use and it is not altered, transformed or built upon.

The presence of these external links does not represent the Forum’s endorsement of the views or content of these third party websites. Navigating to external websites through links on the Websites is done at the sole risk of the Visitor, and the Forum expressly disclaims any liability for any content that appears on any external site.

The Visitor may link to the Websites provided the Visitor does so in a way that indicates that the link is to the Forum Websites and is fair and not misleading. The Forum may amend these Terms of Use at any time, and such amendments will be effective immediately upon notice being provided to the Visitor. Notice may be provided on the Websites itself, and after posting of the notice, the Visitor’s continued use of the Website will be deemed as acceptance of the modified Terms of Use.

Waiver and Severability of Terms of Use

The failure of the Forum to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms of Use shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Privacy Policy

This Privacy Statement discloses the privacy practices for all the Websites.

The Forum is committed to internet privacy and would like Visitors to be well informed of the gathering and use of their information through these Websites. The following form essential parts of the Forum’s Privacy Policy:

Data Collection

The Websites collect two categories of information:

General information: The Websites automatically collect non-personally identifiable information using the Websites’ cookies to monitor Visitor usage patterns and information. The only information the Websites collect from a normal visit is the IP address, domain name, browser and type of machine used, referring websites, downloaded files, requested pages and time and date of those requests.

Personal information: In order to access certain features (e.g. Forum News), Visitors may be asked to submit information such as their name and e-mail address. This information is only collected where provided on a voluntary basis through the completion of one of Forum`s forms by the Visitor and is kept in the Forum databases and mailing lists.

Private Members Sites (e.g.;; For specific information requirements and their usage please visit this page. This Policy is complementary to the general Forum privacy policy and gives additional details for the particular site.

Use of Information

The Forum will analyze browsing patterns and usage trends of the Websites Visitors with the general information collected.

The Forum periodically summarizes and analyzes these log files to learn how Visitors use content on the Webssite. This information is used to allocate resources effectively and to improve the content, organization and performance of Forum Website. This process does not collect, store or use personally-identifying information such as name, address, telephone number or e-mail address.

Use of Cookies

A cookie is simply a small piece of information that a web server asks Visitor`s browser to store on Visitor`s local computer, and then later their browser presents this information to the web server. In its simplest form, a cookie is an identifying number.

The Forum Websites use cookies for anonymous Visitor tracking. The Forum web server assigns each Visitor a unique numerical ID. All requests for pages are tagged with that ID, and by analyzing log files, the Forum can determine how many unique Visitors used the Website.

The Forum does not know the identity of a person based on the numerical ID. Visitors should be aware that the links on Forum`s Websites are provided only for Visitors ‘convenience. The Forum has no control over, makes no promises or warranties of any kind with regards to, and has no responsibility or liability for, the content of any other websites or their privacy policies, their use of cookies, or the way they collect, save, store or use information. Agreement and Notification of Amendments

By using this Website, Visitor signifies his/her agreement with the Forum's Privacy Policy.

Sure, you could make it shorter, but this are rules. This means that vital parts may be left out -- this means that the TL:DR; may misrepresent the rules and other users may refer to these misleading rules. So, it is just better to take a minute and read them; or at least behave in a civil manner. After all, these are rules to curb bigotry and keep the forum on point.
