Mach3 motor problem

Postby Jain756789 » Fri Oct 23, 2015 5:12 pm

Hi all,
I have been attempting to wire an old stepper, PSU, driver and bobs yesterday to set up m Mach3. The steppers are moving correctly from the Mach3 though there's an irritating sound that comes right away from the motors and is normally accompanied by vibrations. Would anyone please tell me what's the problem is?

Have you tried changing those motors recently?
Am trying to look at the issue from another perspective and i suspect it could be that the BOB is the ones causing the sound.

Am also suspecting that the problem has nothing to do with the motors and is a result of something further on up the chain. Ensure the wiring is correct and that the steppers get enough lubrication to avoid burning.

Am certain all those sounds are coming out as a result of having the motor phases wired wrongly.
How have you wired them in Parallel or series connection.? Just post a photo of your datasheet wiring on this page and i will check it out for you.
