Advice needed on the right Machine

Postby Sanders » Sun Apr 03, 2016 5:44 am

Hi guys.
I urgently want to make some half inch wooden letters. They should be 10” high with a width of 8”. I am wondering which machine I should use. What I can access for now is 3040T 3 axis CNC router. Is this the right machine to use? Will it give me good results? If not, which one would you recommend

Hi,
Are you intending to use the machine to just cut letters or you will use it for more work?

Well, then it is good that you buy a laser cutter of 80W-100W for the half inch letters.

I own a 3040T engraver and I use it to engrave both wood and plastics. It is a good machine and I would recommend that you use it.

I also tend to think that the 3040T is good. You should however be cautious as there are some with water cooled spindle which normally reduces the functioning of such machines.
