Just for fun: whats the largest machine you have seen?

Postby BULLDOG » Sun Sep 06, 2015 9:39 pm

Hallo folks, what's the name of the largest CNC machine that you have seen? not on the internet, that would be too easy, i mean really seen with your own eyes? I once saw a 2.5 meter long Badog CNC http://www.badog.ch at EPFL in the architecture department in Lausanne Switzerland

I'd say that it depends on the functionality aspects expected from the machine. I have seen a small Badog machine once but didnt realize they made them any bigger. For me I have seeen a 4 meter long cnc machine used to drill holes in a rail but it was only 2 axis and really wasnt that precise.

If you are building it right now then that means you have never seen it, right?

The biggest machine i have seen wasnt a cnc but it was quite impressive. As you come down from Crowsnest Pass into British Columbia near BC's easternmost town there is a coal-mining community names sparwood. (in canada) this is where i saw this mining truck, i couldnt find my picture so i ripped it off the internet for you guys to see. i never knew they could make them so big
