Help! I cannot find the drill points!

Postby Limn0s » Fri Jun 12, 2015 7:58 pm

So, there is this part which has a bunch of holes that have to be drilled somewhat randomly. I am working with CAMBAM. I have never done this before, but I thought I will have it done within a short time.
Well, it didn’t happen, and I am back to square one. The error I get is that there are apparently no drill points that the program can find. I know that the problem can arise if all holes have not been assigned their drill points. I am stuck, has anyone else seen such a thing?

Hey, did you happen to change the CAM package? Because this can be a big issue in my opinion…

No, I just installed a patch of CamBam plus 0.9.8, could that be causing an issue?

Perhaps you disrupted the dependencies libraries. Why would you need a patch anyway?

I have heard of that issue somewhere. It happens when the tool is larger than the hole that you need to drill, using another package of CAM, as suggested above. This is because the package ignores the smaller holes…

Ooops, I just cheked it and there was no difference – it is still throwing the M6 issue back at me.

I am throwing sticks in the dark here, Limnos, but I think that if the holes are different, I would just change the tooling and see if it is working. Please look into that.

Limnos has the device been used before or is it a new one? Its not strange to encounter such complications with new ones.
