4 axis foam cutter: producing incosisrten wire speed

Postby cosmasB » Wed Sep 16, 2015 5:13 am

Hello everyone,
My machine has Rattm Motor and software 2.10.1505.3001 with the belt driven by X and U axes. The M5 screws is driven by Y and V axes. In spite the fact that the all axes are well calibrated, the wire speed keep varying making the Kerf to vary from 0.4mm to 4mm wire thickness. When the wire is slowing down, the radiated heat tend to melt down the foam on the surrounding.Even after trying several combinations,i could not get a consistent speed.
Any help will be appreciated...
cheers.....
