Chester 16V

Postby Slania77 » Thu Sep 24, 2015 10:19 pm

Hello,
I'm looking to fit ballscrews to my Chester 16V mill. The job involves modifications to the cross table, machine base and milling table.
I'm looking for somebody not too far from Sussex to bring him/her these components to mill out some material to enable me to mount the ball nuts.

Hey, why not consider the FU1204 ballscrews for the XY axes? They would work as magically.

Come on Slania, This is a DIY task, you don't have to look for somebody to do it for you unless are new it dealing with such machines.
my Suggestion though is that you look for some X2 conversion threads. I would also recommend Hoss's conversion. This one you will get at cnczone.com
You could also consider SX2, a popular mill to convert.
