Help - The layer of my Antique marbled mirror is breaking

Postby T99448877 » Mon Jun 29, 2015 10:54 pm

Hi everyone, I would like to pose a question about working onan Antique marbled mirror.
The layer of the mirror keeps breaking away whenever am working the 1st segment diamant such that the mirror is finally lost unable to be used any longer. I can't use a non-segment diamond in the beginning coz that's not not an option here.
Please help me find a way through this.

I should probably start by asking you whether you are cutting or engraving on the antique marbled mirror. Nevertheless my suggestion remains pretty much the same. Try opening the machine end that gets into contacts with the mirror and then carefully reassemble the all parts. This could help reduce the contact pressure that is most likely responsible for the antique mirror breakages.

And why is the non-segment diamond not an option here, just asking 8-)
