Behold Whitehead - Making Custom Cooking Skillets

Postby Jahrastafarai » Sat May 09, 2015 3:13 pm

Mike Whitehead was tinkering with the idea of making his own cast iron skillet which is suited to his preferences. So he went ahead and created his own fresh skillet which has enough sides to pour whatever he needs to pour, a magnificent handle to die for and some other cool features. Check it out here.

It looks like a great skillet. However, the issue I have with this is the price tag. Look man, ain't there no way I am buying a $200 skillet. Even if it cooks by itself and prepares gluten-free foods or whatever. I will go for a lame $10 skillet when I need one.

$195 down the drain? For a skillet? I got a $10 cooking pan which I'm sure works just as fine!

And I don't understand why you wouldn't understand the effort that this guy obviously poured into this project. I am not saying that you should buy it; but why won't you let him be? He must have labored a lot to make his design perfect and he just wants to break even or something. Your's is not constructive criticism at all. :x
