It is also important to remember half-toning. You won’t miss your shot if you look for a great online app.
I did that stuff not long ago. I made one major mistake of not realizing how much time it takes to make the small dot on a large piece of material.

Thanks, this has been really helpful; I am bookmarking the board :P
MP: I deal with Linux tools, and I haven’t considered anything like Aspire. Linux tools cannot make G-codes, so I outsource from somewhere else. Quoting right, Inkscape can convert Dxf and whatever to G-codes but getting offsets done is tedious and time-consuming…

You may consider G40, G41, and G42, which are mainly used for cutter radius compensation. I am sure will help you solve your problem.

I am now well into the second phase of my project and I shall be coming over here to try to keep guys updated. I am also setting up a shop on Etsy. I hope some of you will be my first customers!
