Need help with my Hardinge Superslant SB2T-GN

Postby Pronto » Sun Mar 06, 2016 3:41 pm

Hi guys,
I am unable to read into my Hardinge Superslant Model SB2T-GN. I have connected this lathe to my computer using a" Smart" cable. Could this be something to do with use of wrong CR/LF or any other parameter? What should i do?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Pronto,
What transfer software are you using? Is it compatible with the lathe?

I am using the Cimco transfer software. I think it has nothing to do with the software but the settings.

I had similar problem. I sought help and I was told to try reading at the control and then disconnect the cable. If you get an alarm them your port is correctly set. If you don’t get the alarm, then it means there is a problem with your port connection.

Hi Pronto
Your problem is something to do with the transmit protocol program. Try downloading another on and see if it will work.
Never let any mechanical device know that you are in a hurry.
