Gear Designer

Postby Bb3/04 » Sat Jan 30, 2016 8:27 am

Hi guys
I had been searching for a good tool that I could use to design good gears for my cnc machine.
I was almost giving up when I came across this forum. I later followed a link to Badog cnc. This is where I got what I wanted. Badog Gear Designer is great! Try it and you will not regret. Go to http://www.badog.ch/en/cnc-shop/cnc-sof ... igner.html

I am very happy that I found this great forum. I have learned a lot about CNC within a very short time.

Hey, Is this Gear Designer good enough? I am looking for one too.. I haven't used any of Badog's products in the past so it would be good if a get first hand information from the person who has experience with it and not just use the owners description.

I have an older copy of the software and i have found it to be awesome. Its not exactly for engineering in the way you start with forces and speeds and modules but it is designed for the hobby user.

you just plunk in the size and the ratio and all the other blanks are filled in. even the module of the gear can be "unnormalized" into a decimal
