2.2 KW water cooled Spindle fitting

Postby MuteButton » Fri Jul 31, 2015 5:17 pm

I would like to now change the the threads attached to the fittings as i have been encountering numerous problems trying to fit 3/16"*14" which has been failing to clamp down and resistant to flow coz 1/4 * 3/8 doesn't fit in the ferrule nut.

Can anyone out there please advice me on how to deal with this? I have conducted website research on the topicbut that didn't amount to much.

In your case it won't be wise to buy a more expensive pump. I suppose that what you are running is a "3/16 x 1/4" tubing. Its very unfortunate that you are unable to get the " 1/4x5/16" tubing coz that would have been the most suitable one here.

I advice that you fit the tape attachment on a lathe but don't expect it to be easy.

How about using a fountain pump for the work?

How would a pump contribute in a situation like this?

Why not get something smaller than 1/4 * if changing the ferrule nut isn't an option.
