Haas vf0 tool charger

Postby selinaD » Sat Oct 24, 2015 3:34 am

Hello,
I have been using the 2000 haas vf0 which has a carasole tool changer. This tool changer does not side right. For instance it sometimes fail to go left and could even fail to reach the spindle.
Unfortunately i do not possess the manuals given that for this machine given that i bought it from the second hand market.
I would like to inquire whether it is my parameters that are wrong or the problem is originating from somewhere else.

Any help rendered will be greatly appreciated.

You probably need to have a look at the shuttle motor brushes. You should also inspect the limit switches found bellow the turret plate. any time the coolant dries up, it makes the switches gummy they won't release they way the should. that is, fast.

check to see if the crank arm that is found on the output shaft of the gear-motor is loose.

Hi guys, i have checked on everything that that you told me. after cleaning the brushes, the machine started behaving itself. it however stopped after 12 hours.doing a further check on the machine i found out that the sleeve of the left limit switch was broken ans was completely sloppy. I actually need a new one but i could not read the digits on it. Is there anyone with the manual to give me the numbers so that i can order a new one?

I would propose that you find one from those sellers, or seek the advice of an expert in this kind of a machine..
