A couple of weeks ago i got a PCNC 1100 so now am wiring in 12 volt and 5 volt DIN mounted power supplies and LED ring light. I suppose that i will also be needing some jumpers which can go inside the terminal blocks. Is anyone here aware of the specific terminal blocks that are normally used in Tormach machines?
I got a PCNC 1100 a few weeks ago and I'm wiring in a 12 volt and a 5 volt DIN mounted power supplies for the automatic drawbar and LED ring light. I need some jumpers that go in the center of the terminal blocks. Anyone know which terminal blocks Tormach uses in their machines?
Tormach panels are most likely to be built overseas. To get the answer for your question just measure the center distance spacing, then check Automation Direct so as to see what the spacing is on the various ones they sell.
Mouser Electronics are known to carry other Tormach connectors like the sealed 4th axis connector, one side of which is Mouser 517-206044-1. Mouser is fast, fair priced, and has great customer service; call with some info and they'll probably be able to walk you to an exact match or a functional equivalent.
It's very disappointing that Tormach sells you wall wort with the $1200 drawbar instead of just including the 12V daughterboard that can be mounted directly on the DC power supply board. The daughterboard would be better included in the PDB kit than in the ATC.
I too agree that the daughterboard should form part of the KDB. I personally ordered the P/N 31980 12V daughterboard, that fits on the P/N32005 DC Bus Board (Series 3 1100) and was surprised by the amount i paid.
