Re: The Unbreakable CNC safety rules

I have been there too. But I was lucky the screw hit me just above the eyebrows. Keeping the safety rules is a serious and important factor in CNC.

Re: Cost effective prototypes

Personally, I think CNC machines are more realistic in terms of price, size and material. CNC routers can cut items as large as a house as tiny as jewelry. So basically, CNC machines are cost effective.

Re: There are no limits!

Actually, this is very important. I learnt from an operator earlier on that there are bound to be higher costs of machining large blocks as opposed to smaller blocks. But I think the real reason is to save on the costs of the diamond drill bits - by using the 1 and 3 mm end mills, you get a lot done...

There are no limits!

Our company makes a huge variety of products and it relies heavily on CNC. It started out as a smallish outfit in the 90's and has grown substantially into a small warehouse with its design wing and studios. We manufacture a wide range of products, mainly parts of instruments, custom furniture addit...

Re: The best tips to grow your CNC machine business.

In order to grow your small CNC business, you should allow flexibility in the multi stage processes. If you will be combining both internal fabrication and machining operations, you can save time and money by acquiring a CNC machine that can incorporate secondary work into its primary function.

Re: Looking for a free CAM Software

I think you should go for HSM Works or HSM Express. I like this software. I choose it a million times over Master CAM since it allows licensed users to get quality tool paths using the latest version. It also has multiples of awesome features.

Re: A Buying Guide for plasma CNC Machines and its Benefits

Our company doesn’t use plasma cutter. Probably in less than 1or 2 years our line of production will have shifted. Thanks, I now know which tool we may be going to invest in first.
