Anti- Freeze (The colored fluid) is found in the radiator. The coolant helps in preventing the water found in the engine and the radiator from freezing at cold temperatures.

You should look into beefing up the gantry and vertical support that were given for it. Realizing this is basically a free build that might not be possible. In any event keep us updated in this thread. I like these sort of threads where machines are built from found materials and improvisation.

I do have the extrusions with me but thank you for the offer thou Am amazed at the quick service from CNC Router Parts. I ordered these slides on the 17th. I'm in Ohio. I checked the parts out and exactly as described. If i wouldn't have gotten all the extrusions for free I would defiantly be buying...

Greetings all, I just rebuilt an old machine that i bought. It had a 80/20 guard on it and I was able to get the components for free. Having a 3040 machine i think its time for an upgrade. It is a router. Maybe it can do milling. I would qualify your needs if cutting metals is the intent.

You could still find another alloy that compromises the properties of both metals buying the alluminium MIC 6 strains your budget. I suppose that anything stronger than alluminium MIC 6 will do.
