Re: Help with the RPM

Ah, sorry if that sounded complex. Well, you just need to get a digital tachometer and try to see if the speed of the spindle matches the one of the Systec? Software controlling/translating the g-code. This way, you can accurately tell whether it is actually running faster, and if so, by how much.

Re: Help with the RPM

Sounds like a multiplier issue. Get a tachometer – this way, you can see if the rpm matches with the values you have punched in your g-code. If this is the case, there is a parameter which influences the ratio of the RPM to that which you have in the code – so you will have to correct this parameter.

Re: Tie down question..

Please remember that fiberglass is quite dangerous when inhaled - seeing as you are using something which will rough it up. Consider using some PPEs..

Re: Analogue counterpart of CNC

So, if they were not using computers, what did they use to obtain the directions of what to do? I cannot even begin to imagine what it must have been like to aid such a machine. The computers in the 40’s were giant pieces of equipment. I do not understand how they worked…

Re: What are these?

A router is a motor that is used to cut wood. When attached to computer numerical control system it becomes a CNC router. Miller is usually a professional or even industrial class milling equipment or machine, which can mill hard materials like steel or whatever you throw at it but not stones. Thes...

Re: What are these?

I can say that a CNC router is best suited for cutting downy solid substances and CNC mill used to grind soft to the very harder material.
