I too acquired the Boxford and I had it updated. It was modified as follows with: fitted homing switches, V10 Eproms, and was converted to single pulley. It still problems until I used mach 3.

Hi to you too MuteButton, A friend of mine tell me that he is able to machine walnut, stainless steel, brass, walnut, and chess pieces of white oak by use of bit ground from a parting blade on a Grizzly G0602 lathe. In order to avoid having very thin pieces we engaged in redesigning the wood pieces....

Uhmmm, interesting. I had always thought that this was caused by a Windows pin running the 5th axis or something like that. What could be the answer to this now?

It is true that normal CNC machines have 0% to 120% feed override and speed override. Some manufacturers give the machine some flexibility, thus the feed override runs from 0% to 200%. I once used this kind of machine and it worked perfectly just like their counter parts with 0% to 120% feed override.
